TOPIC OUTLINE
As Professional Engineers we are all too often heavily involved with concepts, design and construction projects with multi-discipline inputs.  However, with growing interest in environmental protection and overall lifetime costing it is imperative that we consider a key part of the cycle ie Operational Maintenance and Facilities Management.  While there have been significant efficiency monitoring benefits introduced in recent years, there is increasing scope for further improvements including the development of Carbon neutral buildings and better management of resources including computer based efficiency monitoring on a wide range of project types.  The speaker will draw on his experience in the industry and supplement that with an indication of developments either warranted or likely to be introduced in coming years
