TOPIC OUTLINE

What do you know about Lean Manufacturing, Production Lines for Bentley Cars & Roofing Tiles, JIT and CDM?  This may be a chance to find out as it is all part of the Professional Chartered Engineer’s wider ‘Body of Knowledge’.  The speaker will draw on his wide international and industrial sector experience to highlight means of planning, scheduling, implementing and monitoring change in a number of areas. The subject will also cover aspects of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Impact of setting up, managing, re-locating and closing down plants and disposing of assets.

SPEAKER PROFILE

Mark Stevens is a Graduate (BSc(Hons)), Engineering Council Registered Professional Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Corporate Member of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE founded 1847).  He is proud of his initial experience as an Apprentice with the British Royal Ordinance Factory in Cardiff, Wales before graduating and moving on to challenging roles in Engineering, Production and Maintenance in Steelmaking and other companies with involvement in Toronto, New York and Dallas, Texas.  He was Works Manager with Redland Roofing Tiles at various UK locations. Later, he was Plant Manager with Cape Calsil and subsequently undertook assignments with MJS Manufacturing Management providing Interim Management support prior to his present appointment in the Al Fara’a Group. Headquartered in Al Ain.
