software system outlined brings to project construction sites and other engineering
operations the scope for more effective management and detailed control of
operations using ICT techniques. The
system is easy to use, is very visual, improves
control, quality and safety as well as reassuring clients. This ultimately saves money by increasing
efficiency and reducing stress levels. The best way to capture all sorts of information from site
is to utilise the ever increasing power of PDAs and Ultra Mobile data
collection devices and transfer it to a central website database and then
make it available to those that need to know. Defects, Snags and Non
Conformances may be printed out or e-mailed direct to Sub/Trade Contractors. It lends itself to Health & Fire
Safety purges, Clean up Notices and other applications. For key designated areas site photographs can
record build progress as in time lapse photography. The latest pictures can
be made available on the web. Also, Room
Data Sheets / Room Equipment Schedules are available on site on devices which
record audited, date-time stamped results. Reports of failures, passes,
‘To dos’ statistics are readily available. Schedules can include
Pre-Snag, Pre- Handover, Construction Stages etc. In addition, a Mobile
Document Register can make available thousands of PDF drawings on site all
indexed to location and available by discipline category such as Architectural,
Electrical, Pipework etc). SPEAKER PROFILE Graham Henderson has
wide experience in the development and application of innovative solutions to
management and technical problems in the engineering profession and in the
construction sector of the engineering industry. He will outline such relevant experience appropriate to PCE UAE
audience. |
